Here's the first one; a Rune Priest and Chooser of the Slain from my Space Wolves.
The Rune Priest is a potent psyker (magic user) who can be accompanied by a Chooser of the Slain. In 40k fluff the Chooser is normally manifested as a raven familiar who aides the rune priest. I thought a simple mini of a bird would be a bit on the boring side. I instead opted to create my own (surprise!) and looked towards the Space Wolves' Norse leanings for inspiration.
"Chooser of the Slain" is actually a translation of "Valkyrie" which was an angel like figuer in Norse myth that would lead fallen vikings to Valhalla. To create her, I took a Tiriel figuer from Reaper Miniatures and added seperate wings. Her feet were also re-positioned to make it look more like she's flying.
I used greens to tie the valkyrie together with the rune priest's weapon and shoulder insignia.
The green disk under the Valkyrie is actually a metal washer used to help balance the figuer.
All in all, their not the most complex of conversions, but the valkyrie came out pretty much exactly how I had imagined her.
