Well, it's been a long time since my last post and a lot has happened:  finals, moving, unpacking, our webhost getting hacked... good times.  I'd like to show off some new work I've done, but first let me say that I did actually finish the yellow bikers of doom - I've just been unable to take any photos of them together that does them justice.  But I'm sure I'll get to doing a retrospective on them soon enough.  Now, onto the new stuff.

Way back when I first started the Imperial Fists, I also posted some photos of Dark Eldar Warriors.  Well, 9 months later most of the models for the new Dark Eldar line are available and I'm ready to start a new army project.  Typically, Dark Eldar lists are filled with fast Raider or Venom transports, supported by many anti-tank Dark Lances and plenty of Kabalite Warriors or Cult Wyches as their troops.  But there's another them Dark Eldar lists can take on, and while it may not be as strictly competitive as "raider-spam" lists, it's very flavorful and features some of the best Dark Eldar Models.  This list is the Haemonculous Coven list.

That's a typical haemonculous.  A master craftsman who's medium is flesh and bone, and yes, those are tentacles coming from under his cape.  In the coming weeks I'll start filling out the army with many Wracks, Grotesques, Scourges, and some devilishly well-designed models called pain engines.
Here's the first such pain engine, a Talos:

It's definitely a very different model than anything I've done before and it was a ton of fun to finish.  The kit comes with a ton of spikey bits and options that will really come in hand later when doing some conversions.
